A Way to Improve VATRate
Neomi Rogers
I took a look at the VATRate feature request page, and it feels like a helpful place for anyone who uses the tool and wants to see it grow. If you have an idea that could make your work easier—like smoother store integrations, quicker updates, or small tweaks that save time—you can share it there and see what others think. It’s a simple way to take part in shaping the tool, and your feedback can help the team understand what real users need. If something comes to mind, drop it in and add your vote to the ideas you like.

I love the idea of using this space to suggest improvements! One thing that would make a big difference for me is faster updates for new VAT rates, especially when they change frequently. It’d be great if there were smoother integrations with e commerce platforms too like automatic VAT adjustments based on location. These small tweaks could really streamline the process and save time for users. Looking forward to seeing what others suggest!

Great idea. I’d love a few upgrades: add per-country change logs with dates, and a “what changed” note. Show source links for each rate. Send email or webhook alerts when a rate updates. Offer a simple API and a sandbox key for tests. Add bulk import/export (CSV) with clear errors on bad rows. Support edge cases like OSS/IOSS, reverse charge, digital services, and rounding rules. Include VIES VAT-ID checks with a pass/fail flag. Let us tag stores and map rates by market. Show a diff view so we can audit changes. A small roadmap and vote counter on each idea would help set priorities.
